| With the increase of environmental concerns worldwide, the need to protect the environment was globally recognized. In order to integrate Environmental Considerations into it’s activities, Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has set up it’s Environment Unit in 1995, which has since become the focal point for all the environment related activities of CEB. Environmental Steering Committee of CEB was established in September 2000, which comprises of senior managers. The Environmental Policy of CEB has been formulated in 2002, which was CEB’s commitment to reduce it’s environmental footprint. |
